Mindfulness Enhances Your Life
Taking a few minutes a day to breathe and practice mindfulness can change your life.
Here are some benefits you can experience!
- Feel more relaxed and less stressed
- Increase your ability to concentrate and be present
- Increase clarity
- Improve your overall health and well being
- Enjoy improved interactions and communication
- Deal more effectively with unexpected events
In addition to stress relief, practicing mindfulness, especially Yoga Nidra guided meditation, can also help with pain management.
The U.S. Army Surgeon General has listed Yoga Nidra as a Tier 1 approach for addressing Pain Management in Military Care.
While results and experiences vary from person to person and organization to organization, overall, research shows that mindfulness programs are highly beneficial for individuals who practice and use the tools and techniques.
I Can’t Quiet My Mind!
Everyone has thoughts. Thoughts are a normal part of mindfulness, meditation and yoga nidra. It’s not necessary to stop all thoughts and feelings during mindfulness practice. Most people experience thoughts and feelings come and go throughout the practice.
Some mindfulness methods are easier than others. Start with short guided meditations, especially yoga nidra which you can practice resting in a comfortable chair or better yet, resting on your back. Simply listen to your guided instructions and begin to experience all the benefits, just be resting.
It’s important to choose trained instructors who understand how to use special techniques to help you drop easily into a deep state of relaxation, helping your mind to rest and your body to relax. Working with a trained teacher, you can’t “do” yoga nidra wrong.

Can I Combine Mindfulness with Plant-based Lifestyle Guidance?
Yes! I’d love to work with you to incorporate mindful plant-based eating and ideas for delicious meals into our sessions. I’ve lived with food allergies and sensitivities my entire life and have learned creative ways to stay healthy and fulfilled without meat, dairy, eggs or gluten. I started my plant-based journey in 2011 and created the cooking blog glutenfreevegan.me.
Let’s explore how mindfulness, yoga nidra and mindful eating can change your life!
