My classes are gentle and thoughtful, sprinkled with stories, themes and a chance to challenge yourself. I create sequences designed to take you deeper into your journey of the self, through the self and to the Self.  Come experience a class with me to discover the amazing peace, relaxing calm and expansive understanding yoga can bring to your life.

One of my passions is teaching Yoga Nidra. This ancient practice of deep relaxation means Yogic Sleep and each 10 minutes of practice can be the equivalent of an hour of deep sleep.  The benefits are incredible.  And private session can afford you even deeper rest and an opportunity to have a customized session designed for your specific needs. I’m amazed and grateful for the gift yoga brings to my life and became a certified teacher so I could share yoga with others. I believe yoga is a lifetime learning process.

Certifications
I'm registered through Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP. I also have advanced training in yoga nidra - Amrit Method I AM Yoga Nidra advanced certification, Parayoga Nidra, iRest Level 1; restorative, yin,  chair, and gentle yoga.  Yoga Alliance certified teachers can receive continuing education credits in my workshops.

I offer private Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Sound and/or Reiki 60-minute sessions customized for your needs.  

Private 60-minute Zoom or in-person sessions are available in 1, 3, or 5 session packages.

Summer Park Yoga will be back in 2022 for limited classes this year - I'm slowing down a little this summer to spend more weekend time with family, but promise to have some wonderful outdoor classes on the schedule soon. Class Descriptions:

Vinyasa Yoga - experience warrior poses, balancing, stretching and movement with your breath. Vinyasa classes start gentle and build. Students are encouraged to continue with the movement that best suits their body and ability and not to push beyond their limitations. All levels are welcome and options for more gentle movement are offered throughout class. Sweat Level  = 3 - 8 (how difficult you decide to make your practice is always up to you.)

Vinyasa and Vibrations - class begins with breathwork and a settling meditation with singing bowls. An all levels vinyasa flow follows. Students are treated to a long savasana and ending meditation with the singing bowls. Suitable for all levels able to move through a basic vinyasa class. Sweat Level  = 3 - 8 (how difficult you decide to make your practice is always up to you.)

Soulful Slow Vinyasa - class is similar to a traditional vinyasa, with a little longer hold time in each pose. Class will start gentle and build without speeding up the flow. Students are encouraged to continue with the movement that best suits their body and ability and not to push beyond their limitations. All levels are welcome and options for more gentle movement are offered throughout class. Sweat Level  = 3 - 8 (how difficult you decide to make your practice is always up to you.)

Yoga Nidra - the "sleeping" yoga is an ancient, guided meditation, designed to take you into a deep state of relaxation and help you relieve stress. Yoga nidra stimulates anti-aging and healing in your body. Students rest in a very comfortable position, usually on their backs, with pillows and a soft blanket. Many also like eye covers and a pillow or bolster under the knees to soften the lower back. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. Sweat Level = 0

Sound Bath - Sound bowls, chimes, and gongs are played to ease you into a blissful state of relaxation. Different tones correspond with different energy centers in the body. Some participants experience reduced pain, more peace, better sleep, and an overall increase in their general wellbeing. Simply listen and enjoy the vibrational experience. Sweat Level = 0

Gentle Yoga - experience gentle stretching to warm your body for basic yoga poses - seated, standing and on your back. We'll explore breath and movement. Students are encouraged to move at their level. Beginners and those who prefer a slower, more gentle class are welcome. Sweat Level  = 1 - 3 

Healing Yoga - a variety of pranayama (breath), gentle vinyasa, yin, restorative, always ending with yoga nidra and singing bowls. Very gentle - suitable for all levels with modifications offered for those with special issues. Sweat level = 3

Yin, Vin, Nidra - class begins with breathwork and yin, followed by a vinyasa flow and ending with yoga nidra. Singing bowls are often incorporated into class. Gentle movement - can be modified for those with special issues. Sweat level = 5

Restorative with Reiki and Singing Bowls - relax in comfortable restorative asana, receive Reiki (healing touch and energy) while experiencing singing bowls. Very relaxing - suitable for all levels. Sweat level = 0.

Bhakti Yoga - Bhakti is a practice of devotion to the divine. Experience chanting and sound, heart opening asana and a chance to connect to your highest source through movement, music and focusing the mind. 3 - 8 (how difficult you decide to make your practice is always up to you.)
